Brown Bag Lunch program: Making Art Out of MRIs, with Darian Stahl
Darian Stahl is a Printmaker and Bookmaker currently residing in Canada. She is a PhD student in Fine Art Humanities at Concordia University in Montreal, and recently completed an eight-month scholarship residency at Malaspina Printmakers in Vancouver, British Columbia. Darian received her MFA in Printmaking from the University of Alberta in 2015, and her BFA in Printmaking at Indiana University Bloomington in 2011. She first studied printmaking at the Scuala Internazionale di Grafica in Venice, Italy in 2008. Darian's arts-based research focuses on the medical humanities, patient narrative, and chronic illness. She has recently been awarded solo and two-person exhibitions in Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, and Winnipeg. Darian has also lectured at numerous conferences on her research and has exhibited her work in many countries around the world, including the United States, Canada, Scotland, China, Slovakia, and Egypt.
