Director of Children and Youth Ministry

First Christian Church in Hopkinsville, KY is seeking a full-time, high-energy Director to lead and grow our ministry. The Director will focus on relational ministry and Discipleship opportunities for children and youth of all ages (birth to Grade 12). This is a full-time position. He or she is directly responsible to the Senior Minister while working with the Children’s and Youth Ministry Teams. We are looking for candidates that are as passionate about the growth and development of children as we are. The ideal candidate is relational, organized, spiritually grounded, and excited to create fun, safe, gospel-centered environments where Children and students can grow in their faith. You’ll shape ministry vision, equip volunteers, partner with families and serve alongside a committed, team-oriented staff. Key Responsibilities:

· Lead all children and youth programing, including Sunday, midweek gatherings, and special events.

· Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for all ages.

· Develop and disciple a volunteer team through training, encouragement, and delegation.

· Teach biblical truth in age-appropriate ways that encourage life transformation.

· Cast vision for the ministry in alignment with the church’s mission and values.

· Communicate regularly with families, staff, and church leadership.

· Use technology and social media to enhance engagement and communication.

· Participate in church-wide activities including worship services and outreach events.

· Administrative reporting out regularly to Leadership Council and Ministry table while managing revenues and expenses within a budget.

Qualifications & Expectations:

· Bachelor’s degree preferred (Education, Youth Ministry or related field) but not required.

· A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

· A heart for Children, teens, and families – and a clear calling to ministry.

· Background check will be completed prior to hiring and be performed annually.

Benefits:

· Pay - $40 - $50,000 based on experience
