To introduce people in the area to our new gallery in a renovated vintage building, the Hopkinsville Art Guild Gallery will be presenting a series of Brown Bag Lunch Talks on the second Monday of each month. The Brown Bag Lunch talks are free, and the gallery will have beverages available. William T Turner and Jim Coursey will deliver the first Brown Bag Lunch talk of the series on Monday, January 12, at Noon. Turner has served as the official historian of Hopkinsville for more than 40 years. Coursey is the "In Plain Sight" contributing architectural columnist with the Kentucky New Era. Together they will tell stories about, and show photos of, some of the history and architectural aspects of downtown Hopkinsville and 6th Street. Everyone is invited to return to olden days in Hopkinsville while eating their lunch in an atmosphere of fine art by local artists and artisans.
