Holiday Decorations Contest
The public is invited to nominate candidates for Hopkinsville’s Holiday Decoration Award. Recognition will be given in two categories: Best Decorated Residence will go to twelve private homes (one award per city ward) and Best Decorated Business will go to one business. Nominees will be judged on use of decorations, creativity and theme. Homes and businesses will be judged the week of December 3 and announced at the Downtown Tree Lighting at Founders Square Saturday, December 8th, 2018, following the parade. Winners receive a certificate of recognition and will be featured in the Kentucky New Era, Hopkinsville Beautification Facebook page, and the city website. If you would like to tour the winning lights, there will be a round-trip Holiday Lights Tour. This tour was planned by the Public Works Department and our friends at Hopkinsville Transit, who will tour bus loads around the city on December 8th following the parade and announcements. Tours will be given on a first come, first serve basis, starting on Bethel by the library book drop.

To enter or to nominate a home or business, phone in your nomination to Public Works at 270-890-0703, enter at HOPKINSVILLEKY.US/ SERVICES/BEAUTIFICATION, or on the Hopkinsville Beautification Commission Facebook. Entries must be received by 4:00pm on December 3.
