D Day Tragedy: Love You Dearly presented by Hopkinsville-Christian County Library

Hugh Ridenour is a speaker from the Kentucky Humanities Council Inc. who will be telling a poignant love story of former residents of Calhoun, KY, Gene and Alma Blancett Wheeler. Ridenour dips into a treasure trove of 800 love letters written between 1939 and 1944 to chronicle the young couple's love. Ridenour's wife will be reading from the woman's diary that records the tragic end to the relationship on D Day, June 6, 1944.
