Dr. Eugene Poole Jr. — A Local with National Impact

Born and raised in Hopkinsville, Dr. Eugene Poole Jr. has made a profound mark on both art and public service. Currently serving as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for the Architect of the U.S. Capitol, Dr. Poole plays a critical role in overseeing the operations and preservation of some of America’s most iconic government buildings and historical landmarks.

Beyond his leadership role in our nation’s capital, Dr. Poole is also an accomplished visual artist, whose commissioned works reflect a deep commitment to cultural heritage and civic pride. His story is a testament to what it means to rise from small-town roots to national relevance—while never forgetting where it all began.
