Brown Bag Lunch program: The Ancient Olympics, with Betty Vinson

With the summer Olympics starting in August in Brazil, Betty Vinson will present her well-researched program on the Ancient Olympics. It will include the history of the Olympics, the games' traditions and symbolism, and facts about the ancient Olympic sanctuary at Olympia. Art Guild member Betty Vinson is a teacher/librarian who, after retiring, began studying art with Barbara Gardner. Betty is a member of The Pierian Club, a literary club where programs are researched and presented.
