About Us

Ascend Elements works to accelerate the transition to zero carbon emissions by making sustainable EV battery cathode active material (CAM) and cathode precursor (pCAM) from recycled lithium-ion batteries. The company is currently building nearly 1 million square feet of advanced manufacturing space on a 140-acre site in Hopkinsville, KY. When finished, Ascend Elements' Apex 1 facility will employ 400 people and produce sustainable battery materials for 750,000 electric vehicles per year.
