•    Effectively teach multiple sections (theory and practice) of the various aspects of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration related subject areas.  Campus location may vary.
•    Responsible for student learning outcomes, continuous review, assessment, and development.  
•    Participate in academic and student enhancement activities, including student advising, mentorship, and retention of students.
•    Maintain and improve, through professional development, competence in discipline knowledge and instructional techniques.
•    Participate in internal and external service activities (college committees, system committees, community relations).
•    Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

•     Kentucky Journeyman HVAC license and EPA 608 certification. 
•     At least 4 years of experience in the HVAC field. 
•    Demonstrated commitment to quality instruction, student learning, and instructional and institutional effectiveness.
•    Demonstrated effective technology skills, communication skills (written and verbal), and organizational and human relations skills.
•    Demonstrated commitment to the comprehensive community college concept and team management.
•    Demonstrated commitment to the KCTCS/Hopkinsville Community College strategic plan.
•    Kentucky Master HVAC license or the ability to get that license within 6 months of hire.
•    Associates degree in HVAC or a related technical field.
•    North American Technician excellence (NATE) certifications. 

*Candidates without an AAS, but with appropriate certificates and experience, must be willing to complete an AAS Degree in HVAC within 5 years of employment.  

KY law requires state and national pre-employment background checks as a condition of employment.
