POSITION DESCRIPTION
The primary purpose of the Food Service Worker is to assist with daily operations of the Pathfinder Grill.
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  1. Prepare and serve food for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, while maintaining a
sanitary working area.
  1. Perform cashiering/cash handling duties.
  2. Clean dining, service, and food preparation areas.
  3. Assist with maintaining inventory.
  4. Other duties as assigned by Food Service Supervisor.
 
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma/GED and six months related work experience, or equivalent.
  • Skill in cooking and preparing a variety of foods.
  • Knowledge of food preparation methods, techniques, and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of kitchen supplies and equipment.
  • Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to learn and apply the rules and procedures of sanitation and safety as they apply to production, storage and service within a food establishment.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
 
KY law requires state and national pre-employment background checks as a condition of employment.
