The primary purpose of the Administrative Assistant II is to provide administrative support to the Academic Affairs department, as well as the Math & Science faculty division.

  1. Purchase and process instructional and office supplies for all areas in Academic Affairs (except library) by placing orders and working with vendors.
  2. Purchase and process instructional and office supplies for the Fort Campbell campus.
  3. Purchase, process, and maintain general office supplies to be used by all divisions.
  4. Book flights and pay conference registration fees for faculty and Chief Academic Affairs Officer.
  5. Make lodging reservations and lodging payments for Math/Science Division.
  6. Assist faculty with travel approval paperwork and expense reports.
  7. Complete monthly ProCard reports.
  8. Maintain current expense budgets for Academic Affairs, Fort Campbell Campus, and Academic Foundations.
  9. Provide clerical support to supervisor, faculty and administration.
  10. Assist with special events and assist with staff coverage as needed.
  11. Other duties as assigned by Division Chair/Chief Academic Affairs Officer.
  1. Associate degree and one year related work experience, or the equivalent.
  2. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  3. Must be a self-motivator, who can take initiative, meet deadlines, and accomplish tasks with little direct supervision.
  4. Positive, problem-solving attitude.
  5. Highly detailed and accurate in all data entry, organized and efficient in coordinating a variety of activities.
  6. Exceptional computer and typing skills, highly knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new, industry-specific software.
KY law requires state and national pre-employment background checks as a condition of employment.
